The problem start arising when we install a lot of junk software’s, here are we tips and tricks to help you boost your Operating System performance.

Clean Up the Hard Drive

This should be done regularly once in a week, delete all the unwanted files, like downloaded files, temp files, recycle bin, use Disk Cleaner.
1.    Go to Start Button, and type Disk Cleanup, hit Enter to start the Disk Cleanup
2.    Disk Cleanup will calculate free space when loaded; Select the files you want to delete by tick mark.
3.    To delete “Shadow Copy” and “System Restore” files, select Clean up system files >> More Options tab.
4.    Click OK and Click Yes to confirm.

Perform Disk Defragmentation

This option could be very handy when you run out of space, whenever we install any software the operating system splits file in the different part on the hard drive. With defragmentation we can store all the files in contiguous memory location. For defragmentation do following:

1.    Go to start button and type msconfig and hit Enter.
2.    In the system configuration window, Click on Startup tab.
3.    Uncheck those processes which you do not want to start at the start up.
4.    Once done, Click Apply and OK.

Using Minimal Visual Effects

Disabling visual effects can increase your system performance, to disable do the following steps.
